Dr. Shantha Mohan is a mentor and career advisor. She co-founded Retail Solutions Inc. (RSi), a leader in retail data analytics and ran its global product development organization. Her prior experiences include technical and educational consulting, and running worldwide product development for Consilium, a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) company (acquired by Applied Materials). She graduated with a Ph.D. in Operations Management from the Graduate School of Industrial Administration, GSIA (now called Tepper School of Management), Carnegie Mellon University, and her undergraduate degree is in Electronics & Communication is from College of Engineering, Guindy.
She has been working with Carnegie Mellon University’s Integrated Innovation Institute since June 2017, mentoring Venture Bridge participants; delivering Product Management sessions in Innovation & Entrepreneurship course, and assisting Venture Governance course delivery in the MSTV program. She is active in social media, sharing her knowledge and learning about technical progress in AI, IoT, Robots/automation. She is passionate about equality, diversity, and sustainability. She has been chronicling the lives of CEG alumnae for the past eight months with the goal of encouraging more girls to study engineering and science, enter the workforce and be equal partners with men in shaping the future of our world. Women face a lot of critical moments in their lives that make them want to leave the workforce. Shantha hopes the stories of the CEG alumnae will inspire them to stay in the workforce.
